Karnataka SSLC & PUC Admission
You take admission in a school or PU college, which registers you for the SSLC (Class 10) examination through KSEAB or the II PUC examination through the Department of Pre-University Education. Here is how the process works and where the official registration lives.
How registration works
- SSLC (Class 10) — Your school registers you for the SSLC examination through the Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board (KSEAB). Regular students are entered by the school.
- PUC admission — After SSLC, you take admission in a PU college for I and II PUC, choosing a stream (Science, Commerce, or Arts).
- II PUC registration — The college registers you for the II PUC examination through the Department of Pre-University Education (DPUE).
What to confirm
- Name & date of birth
- Must match your records exactly; board corrections are limited.
- Medium & subjects
- Confirm your medium of instruction and registered subjects/stream are correct.
- Private/repeater candidates
- KSEAB and DPUE allow private and repeater candidates under defined rules — check the official portal for your category.
Official portals
- KSEAB official website — Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board (SSLC)
- Department of Pre-University Education (DPUE) — PU colleges and II PUC registration
This is a free help center, not KSEAB or DPUE: For official registration, fees, and corrections, use the official KSEAB and DPUE portals above or ask your school/college. This site only explains the process.
