After SSLC, Karnataka students join a PU college and choose a stream for I and II PUC — Science, Commerce, or Arts — with a defined subject combination. This guide explains the streams and how to pick subjects.

Science (PCMB / PCMC)
Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics with Biology or Computer Science — for engineering, medical, and science paths.
Commerce

How to choose

  2. Choose your optional subject — Within Science, the fourth subject (Biology vs Computer Science) shapes whether you lean medical or engineering/IT.

Which PUC stream is best for engineering?
