KCET 2026 Round 2 Seat Allotment Expected on August 19
Short answer: KEA’s KCET 2026 Round 2 seat allotment is expected on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, after 10 AM. This date was listed in the latest Round 2 counselling schedule shared online. KEA’s official portal remains the place to check your actual allotment. Do not treat a social-media message or an unofficial result page as confirmation.

## Who is affected?
This update is mainly for Karnataka students who:
- wrote KCET 2026 and are taking part in UGCET counselling; - entered or changed college and course options for Round 2; - were not given a seat in Round 1; - received a Round 1 seat but want to try for a better option; or - are 2nd PUC repeaters, improvement candidates, or recent 2nd PUC pass students using KCET for admission.
This is a KEA update, not a KSEAB or DPUE result. KSEAB conducts the SSLC and PUC examinations. KEA handles KCET counselling and seat allotment.
## What changed since the last update?
Our earlier news item covered the Round 2 option-entry deadline of August 13 at 9 AM. That window has now passed. The next important step is the Round 2 seat-allotment result.
The latest schedule shared for UGCET 2026 says that the Round 2 result will be announced on August 19, 2026, after 10 AM. This schedule has been reported through student counselling updates and education coverage. As of August 16, we could not confirm a separate, readable Round 2 schedule notice on the public KEA website through search. Therefore, students should use August 19 as the working date but verify the result directly on the KEA portal.
## What should you do now?
### Before August 19
1. Keep your KCET application number, password, or login details ready. 2. Check that your phone number and email account are working. 3. Keep your 2nd PUC marks card, SSLC marks card, caste or income certificate, study certificate, verification slip and other counselling documents available. 4. Do not pay money to any person who promises to “confirm” a KEA seat. 5. Use only KEA’s official counselling website for the result and further instructions.
### On August 19
Visit the KEA counselling portal after 10 AM and look for the UGCET 2026 Round 2 seat-allotment link. Log in and save or print the allotment result if a seat is shown.
Read the instructions on the result page carefully. If KEA gives you a seat, the portal will explain the next action, such as confirming your choice, paying the required amount if applicable, downloading an admission order or reporting to the college. The exact payment and reporting dates must be taken from KEA’s live notice. We could not confirm a current Round 2 fee figure, so do not rely on old counselling articles or messages in student groups.
## Important dates
| Action | Date or time | What it means | |---|---:|---| | Round 2 option entry opened | August 7, 2026, from 7 PM | Students could add or change choices. | | Round 2 option entry closed | August 13, 2026, at 9 AM | New choices could no longer be entered through that window. | | Round 2 seat allotment result | August 19, 2026, after 10 AM | Check the KEA portal for your allotment. | | Payment, confirmation or reporting | To be confirmed in the live KEA notice | Follow the date shown after login. |
The August 7–13 option-entry dates and the August 19 result date are reported in the latest counselling schedule available to students. The official portal should be treated as the final authority if KEA changes the timing.
## What happens if you do nothing?
If you receive a seat and do not complete the required action by KEA’s deadline, you may lose that seat or the chance to continue in that counselling round. If you do not receive a seat, do not assume that counselling is over. KEA may publish another round or a later schedule, but you must check the official portal for eligibility and fresh option-entry instructions.
Students who were not allotted a seat in Round 1 should also check whether KEA requires them to log in again or submit options for the next round. Do not assume that your old choices will automatically be used unless KEA clearly says so.
